Hi.

I just wanted to thank you and let you know how much your blog has helped me with styling my natural hair. When you posted the Burt's Bees Avocado treatment, I ran out this past weekend to look for some of the product. It took a few stores, but I finally located it at Trade Secret for 11.99. I had never done a pre-poo before, I had only heard about them within in the last couple of months looking at blogs like yours, afrobella and healthy textures. Let me say....I loved it :) The avocado scent is potent and heavenly. I ended up leaving the treatment on longer than the standard time. I put a plastic conditioning cap over my hair and took a nap while allowig the treatment to saturate my hair. My hair was incredibly bouncy. After washing my hair with Creme of Nature, I used Burt's Bees Hair Repair Shea & Grapefruit Deep Conditioner. Once again, the smell was amazing. I put this conditioner on my hair & also used a pack of the ORS olive oil conditioning packets that can be found at Wal-Mart (this was new to me also, b/c I had been using Ojon's nut butter conditioner). I then set my natural hair on rods. This morning, I had beautiful ringlets, pretty much exactly like Kim Myle's hair on HGTV's Myles of Style.

Once again, Thanks so much for your blog. Your information has helped me immensely. I have about 4 women in my family that I am turning on to your hair product recommendations.

P.S. I also picked up a small can of Crisco this weekend, but I'm waiting to get the details of your experiment before I try it :)

Thank you for the feedback on the Burt's Bees Avocado. Can you believe I have not tried it yet? It is still sitting in the bag. I will try to get to it this weekend. Also, I think you will like the Crisco. To my surprise, I have fallen for it. It is not heavy or greasy as I originally anticipated. Best of all, it costs only a couple of dollars.

Take Care, and thanks for the support.
